Daily Google Play Report 2026-10-19
D-Max Watch Face debuted at #4 simultaneously in DE, GB, and US in android-watch-face/free, and also entered at #15 in KR. At the same time, “draw it and turn it into sound” apps are spreading (Draw Music: Sketch to Sound reached the top 10 in six countries, while the similar Draw Music Maker: Doodle Pad debuted in three countries).
1. New Entries
Today’s biggest story is D-Max Watch Face. It entered android-watch-face/free at #4 in all three of DE, GB, and US, and also appeared at #15 in KR. It had already been on the chart in HR since the previous report, where it rose to #6 (+29) today. In music, Draw Music Maker: Doodle Pad debuted at US #23, KR #29, and GB #33. The earlier Draw Music: Sketch to Sound also debuted in GB at #5. personalization saw a concentration of multi-country entries, including Fonts Keyboard Themes & Emoji (HR #15, DE #31, GB #42). Among high-ranking single-country entries, running-event trackers from the me.rtrt family stand out (Great Run GB #4, Run For All Events GB #5, IRONMAN Tracker HR #4).
2. Sharp Monthly Rises (baseline: 2026-09-19, 30 days ago)
The baseline date is the oldest collection date in the archive, so there is not yet a full month of data. The largest gains were CloverPit (JP paid #5, +40), Playout: Earn Money (US free #4, +39), and Momo: AI Photo & Video Maker (US grossing #7, +37). AI video generation is also rising: Hailuo AI reached GB #9 (+34) and US #4 (+33), while Nexus reached DE #7 (+31). Apps that were absent on the baseline date but are now #1 include C&A Fashion Online Shop (DE shopping) and NHS Drink Free Days (GB health).
3. By Tier
The top ranks barely moved (top: held 94%, new 1%, |Δ| 0.7). The middle ranks had held 90% and |Δ| 2. Turnover was concentrated in the lower ranks, with held 78%, new 13%, and |Δ| 2.6. New activity is appearing first in ranks 31–45. Because the developer field is empty, it is not possible to determine whether a small number of developers dominate the top ranks.
4. By Country
HR had the most new entries (126), followed by DE and KR with 109 each. US and JP had the fewest at 82 each, and US was also the most stable, with a 96% top-10 retention rate. Among hits shared across countries, WhatsApp, ChatGPT, Duolingo, and Spotify ranked in the top 10 in six countries. Among newer apps, Draw Music: Sketch to Sound (KR #1 and five other countries) and Suno also reached the top 10 in six countries. Country-specific moves include Le Champion at GB #2 (+22) and Pilll at JP #19 (+25).
5. By Category
android-personalization saw the greatest turnover (43 new entries, 87% top-10 retention). android-health-and-fitness had the lowest top-10 retention rate (86%). In contrast, libraries-and-demo (2 new entries), communication, travel-and-local, and video-players (98% each) barely moved. PDF reader apps are rising simultaneously in tools, productivity, and business.

Recommended Actions
- Publish an article on D-Max Watch Face’s movement today. Present it as a simultaneous five-country move: new at #4 in DE, GB, and US; #15 in KR; and #6 in HR.
- Create a comparison feature on the “draw music” category (Draw Music: Sketch to Sound and Draw Music Maker: Doodle Pad). Center it on the fact that one reached the top 10 in six countries and that follow-on apps are appearing.
- Write a short seasonal piece on running-event trackers in GB and HR (Great Run, IRONMAN Tracker, parkrun).
- Compile the 30-day rises of Hailuo AI, Nexus, and Momo, and create a comparison article on AI video-generation apps.
- Continue tracking new entries in the bottom tier (ranks 31–45) the next day, especially personalization and HR, to confirm whether they have taken hold. Do not use degraded TOP_GROSSING data for conclusions until collection recovers.
Data Quality Notes
Of 393 charts targeted for collection, 369 were obtained and 24 could not be collected. Of the 369 charts, 347 could be compared with the previous report (2026-10-18); the remaining 22 charts cannot have day-over-day changes calculated and are therefore not counted as new entries. Six recent runs completed only partially, with 31 collection failures. Many charts in DE, HR, JP, KR, and US are degraded (especially TOP_GROSSING in DE and HR). As a result, grossing comparisons are less reliable than comparisons for other charts. developer and ratingCount are missing for 80,852 records, so concentration by developer cannot be assessed. rating is also missing for 1,945 records. The monthly baseline date of 2026-09-19 is the oldest collection date in the archive, so there is not yet a full month of data.
