Daily Google Play Report 2026-10-24
On 2026-10-24, the top ranks were largely unchanged (top-10 retention rate: 95%), with movement concentrated in the lower ranks (11% new entries). Among apps newly appearing since the previous report, the only one to enter three countries simultaneously was IPTV Online Player: Live TV (KR #23, HR #37, JP #43). ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet entered at #5 among paid games in the US. Across the previous-period, monthly, and baseline-date tables, PDF-related, AI video, and Halloween-related apps are all rising across countries.
1. New Entries
The only app to appear simultaneously in three countries was IPTV Online Player: Live TV (android-video-players/free), at KR #23, HR #37, and JP #43. The highest-ranked app to appear simultaneously in two countries was ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet (android-game/paid), at US #5 and GB #25. AI-generation apps also stood out with simultaneous entries in two countries: AIReel (JP #19, KR #33), AI Music Video Maker - Rap AI (US #35, GB #42), and AI Photo Magic Editor (US #36, GB #41). The highest single-chart entries were at #2: Muse from Meta (productivity) and YAIN PDF (personalization) in JP, Galactic Outlaw: Tower Defense (game) in KR, and moj ZET (travel-and-local) in HR. In the US, CFS158 Halloween entered three charts at once: paid watch-face #5, android-wear #6, and personalization #8.
2. Sharp Monthly Gains (Baseline: 2026-09-24)
The baseline date is the oldest collection date in the archive, 30 days ago. The largest gains were Gauth: AI Study Companion in DE (#4, +41) and Trump Accounts: Official App in the US (#4, +40). They were followed by BP Health Log in the US (#3, +38), Room Temperature Thermometer in DE (#5, +37), and Demon Castle Story in KR (paid #9, +36). Some apps that were absent from the charts on the baseline date reached #1 this time, including PDF Flow in DE (tools), ImmoScout24 in DE (travel grossing), AI Photo Editor: Art Studio in GB, and Duck Survivor in JP (game free).
3. Trends by Rank Tier
The top tier (1–10) was nearly fixed, with held 95%, new 1%, and |Δ| 0.6. The middle tier (11–30) had held 92%, new 1%, and |Δ| 1.5. The lower tier (31–45) had held 82%, new 11%, and |Δ| 2.2, meaning turnover is concentrated in the lower ranks. Because the developer field is missing, it is not possible to determine whether a small number of developers dominate the top ranks.
4. By Country
HR had the most new entries, at 138, and the lowest top-10 retention rate, at 94%. JP was the most stable, with a 97% retention rate. Established apps were shared across multiple countries. Tinder (android-dating) ranked #1 in DE, GB, HR, JP, and the US, and #2 in KR. Google Flow (android-art-and-design) ranked #1 in JP and #2 in KR, showing that AI tools have become established among the shared top ranks.
5. By Category
android-business saw the greatest turnover (34 new entries, top-10 retention rate: 86%). Many of the new entries were in HR, including Gocrypto at #9 and Animall Bhai at #11. health-and-fitness (87%) and game (90%) followed. In android-sports, NBA: Live Games & Scores rose in HR (+19), KR (+14), and DE (+13). communication and video-players had 99% top-10 retention rates and barely moved.
Key Findings
1. IPTV Online Player: Live TV enters KR, HR, and JP simultaneously
It entered android-video-players/free on the same day at KR #23, HR #37, and JP #43. This was the only simultaneous entry across three countries, making it the earliest sign of a new trend. However, it ranked below #20 in all three countries, and the category's top-10 retention rate is an extremely stable 99%, so it is still unclear whether it can reach the top ranks.

- AI video and image generation apps (AIReel, Rap AI, Movify, Google Flow) and PDF tools are growing simultaneously across countries. Cover them together in a thematic feature.
- HR has seen many new entries in business and social. Check whether they are concentrated in cryptocurrency or video-chat apps, and determine whether the movement is temporary before covering it.
- Grossing data for DE and HR is degraded across many categories, making monetization rankings unreliable. Ask the data infrastructure team to investigate the cause of grossing collection failures.
Data Quality Notes
The collection target is 390 charts. This excludes 240 charts that the source does not publish from the configured total. Of those, 367 charts and 13,271 rows were collected, while 23 charts could not be collected (25 collection failures were recorded). Five of the most recent runs completed only partially. Of the 367 charts, 331 could be compared with 2026-10-23. Rows from charts that could not be compared were not counted as either new entries or changes. The degraded sources are primarily TOP_GROSSING; grossing is degraded for many categories in DE and HR. JP game (grossing and paid), KR game, and US game grossing are also among the degraded sources, so conclusions about game monetization rankings should be treated cautiously. The monthly baseline date, 2026-09-24, is the oldest collection date in the archive and is 30 days ago. developer and ratingCount are missing in 67,288 records, while rating is missing in 1,429 records. As a result, it is not possible to analyze whether a small number of developers dominate the top ranks.
